ReadyMark: The Inventory Readiness Score That Makes Selling Predictable

Inventory doesn't 'not sell.' It's not ready. Not kinda ready. Not 'I'll get to it.' Ready. ReadyMark is a 0–100 score that forces you to fix the actual blockers before anything gets listed.

The 6 Readiness Components

  • Authentication confidence (0–20): provenance, trusted source, no red flags

  • Condition certainty (0–20): standardized photos + defects documented before listing

  • Listing quality (0–15): tight title, keywords, disclosures, comp references

  • Fulfillment readiness (0–15): supplies staged, shipping plan defined, insurance/signature rules set

  • Platform fit (0–15): matched to the venue where the right buyer pays the right premium

  • Price confidence (0–15): floor, target, and time stop all defined

Score everything. List only what's above 90. Fix what's in the 70–89 range. Quarantine anything below 70.

A 30-Minute Weekly Sprint

  • Score your inventory quickly — you're tagging blockers, not writing essays

  • Log the single blocker for every item under 90 (needs photos, needs comps, needs pricing plan)

  • Fix the top 5 blockers this week

  • List the highest ReadyMark items first with floor/target/time stop assigned

Why Price Confidence Is the Most Skipped Step

No floor = you panic-discount on lowballs. No target = you either underprice or reprice reactively. No time stop = inventory ages, value decays, and your decisions get worse as attachment grows.

Floor + target + time stop is a decision framework. Define the trade before you make it.

The Metric That Tells You If It's Working

Track your dispute rate. If ReadyMark discipline is high, disputes drop. If you're skipping condition certainty and listing quality, disputes spike. It's a direct feedback loop.
